Lincoln City, Oregon

When in Lincoln City you can watch beautiful sunsets, take relaxing strolls on the miles of sandy beach, fly a kite, and in the cooler seasons watch breathtaking winter storms, but if you need other activities to occupy your time here are some of our recommendations of things to do.

Glass Floats

We are the beach town known for glass floats. Finder’s Keepers, a special program, hides beautiful glass floats along the shoreline. For additional information visit the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau.

Beach Combing

Pelican Shores has direct access to miles of amazing beach where you will find beautiful rocks, shells, and floats. The Lincoln City Visitors Center holds beach combing clinics to help you find the best treasures.

Whale Watching

A resident pod of Gray Whales can be seen all year off the shore in Depoe Bay which is just a short drive south of Lincoln City. The ideal whale watching time off the coast is November – April.

Lincoln City Community Center

Looking for a family activity on a rainy day then try the Community Center which has a large pool with slide, a hot tub, a basketball court, and a rock-climbing wall.

Glass Foundry

The Lincoln City Glass Center located in the Taft District has complimentary glassblowing demonstrations, or you can give it a try and blow your own glass float.

Casino & Convention Center

If you feel like trying your luck visit Chinook Winds Casino in north Lincoln City.  You can also go to one of their fun events or music concerts. We are about five miles South.

Oregon Coast Aquarium

Make the easy drive from Lincoln City to Newport and spend the day visiting wonderful sea creatures. It’s an activity that is fun for all ages. The aquarium is open year-round at Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Kite Flying

“D” River Wayside in Lincoln City was voted the “Kite Capital of the World”. Come to the Summer Kite Festival in June or the more low-key festival in October. 


Explore the many unique galleries in Lincoln City. There is a lot of great art to see along the Oregon Coast and in town.


We are only minutes from the Chinook Winds Golf Resort in Lincoln City or travel a couple of miles south to Salishan and play on the world-class Salishan Golf Course.
